We are deeply honoured and grateful to announce that Sathya's South Indian Kitchen has been selected as the official caterer for the 2026 Tamil Heritage Month Gala Dinner, hosted by the Tamil Eelam Society of Canada on January 18th at the Toronto Reference Library.
The Menu
We have designed a special heritage menu for the evening that celebrates the full breadth of Tamil culinary tradition — from the coast of Jaffna to the hills of the Nilgiris:
- Jaffna crab curry with string hoppers
- Mutton varuval with parotta
- Vegetarian thali with seven accompaniments
- Payasam and kesari for dessert
What This Means to Us
Sathya started this restaurant in a small space with 24 chairs. To now be serving at one of the most significant Tamil cultural events in Ontario is something we could not have imagined when we first opened our doors. This is for our community — the people who believed in us from the very beginning.
Tickets for the gala dinner are available through the Tamil Eelam Society of Canada. We hope to see many of you there.
